Nadal takes the lead against De Minaur in Madrid!
Much better than in Barcelona, Rafael Nadal took the lead against De Minaur (7-6 in 1h17). Rafa used his experience and opportunism to win a first act in which he alternated between the good and the not-so-good (8 winners, 11 unforced errors).
With De Minaur a little less precise than last week (16 unforced errors), the Majorcan was clearly in the game. Buoyed by a more efficient serve and a rediscovered lift, the king of clay has the crowd at the Court Manolo Santana dreaming. The Spaniard is now one set away from a major victory in his preparations for Roland Garros.
