Ruud takes revenge on Tsitsipas to win his biggest title in Barcelona!
Casper Ruud has learned the lessons of his defeat by Stefanos Tsitsipas in last week's Monte Carlo final. He took his revenge on the Greek to win the title in Barcelona, his first ATP 500 trophy and the biggest of his career.
Physically fresher, the Norwegian initially fell behind 3-1 in the 1st set, before raising his game to win 12 of the next 17 games. In the end, he prevailed in an hour and a half and two sets (7-5, 6-3), and thus did not lose a single set throughout the week.
